On the Bones of Batala LITE

Hello everyone! Thank you for purchasing and downloading "On the Bones of Batala" (formerly spelled "On the Bones of Bathala"). 

This update is currently PWYW since it doesn't have illustrations or a layout yet. I'll also be keeping it as a Notion page for March (or until I finished the campaign playtests) so it'll be easier to update or rearrange the text. 

For now though, here are the updated contents: 

• Updated terms to represent precolonial Tagalog society, which means removing Hispanized terms, e.g. engkanto/encanto, multo/muerto, Bathala, etc.
• No Classes. Players are encouraged to pick out three Unheroic Feats
• No Powers. Replaced by powerful Items and the Omen Pool
• Lots of tables for equipment -- d6 Weapons, d6 Armor, d6 Food (for Starvation mechanic) and d66 Items
• Introduction of Connections (applies to both PCs and NPCs)
• Introduction of Omen Pool
• Introduction of the 4 Bayans/Settlements, which provide starting locations and goals
• Introduction of the 3 Domains: Lambana, Maka and Kasanaan
  • 11 Foes -- 6 foes in Lambana, 4 foes in Maka, 1 foe in Kasanaan
  • 3 Bosses, one for every Domain
• Lots of lore on the Rotting Isles! Be wary of the things you read though since the truth is hidden in The Secrets.

What's next?

After the campaign playtests, I'll be focusing on illustrations and layout. As for the writing, it will mostly stay as is, save for some rephrasing here and there since I do miss the condescending tone from the Demo.
